IF AMERICANS KNEW

This is a NEWS MAGAZINE that every American must read. It’s informative, enlightening and an eye opener. The website is http://www.ifamericansknew.org. It’s mainly focused on United States, Palestine and Israel, the relationship between these countries.

Q: Why should we, the American people, be concerned about what’s going on in the Middle East?

A: Believe it or not, we are, directly or indirectly, responsible for all the atrocities that are committed by Israel in the name of “self defense”. All the war crimes and all the unnecessary destruction of people’s properties, businesses, and daily lives, not to mention, all of the killings of innocent people, whose only crime is living in Palestine, Iraq or Syria. We are to blame for all this and more, so we had better wake up and put a stop to it.

Q: If the Israelis are committing all these heinous crimes, why are we, the Americans, responsible for them?

A:  Our President and both houses of congress are bowing to pressure from the Israeli lobbyists, mainly “The American-Israeli Political Action Committee”, AIPAC (the most dangerous organization in the country). Our beloved members of the government are no less than puppets in the hands of this organization.

Israel 2007, worse than apartheid

This is an article by Ronnie Kasrils, publishhed on the website “ifamericansknew.org”.

Ronnie Kasrils is a South African politician of Lithuanian-Latvian Jewish descent. He has been the South African Minister for Intelligence Services since 27 April 2004.

Travelling into Palestine’s West Bank and Gaza Strip, which I visited recently, is like a surreal trip back into an apartheid state of emergency. It is chilling to pass through the myriad checkpoints – more than 500 in the West Bank. They are controlled by heavily armed soldiers, youthful but grim, tensely watching every movement, fingers on the trigger. Fortunately for me, travelling in a South African embassy vehicle with official documents and escort, the delays were brief. Sweeping past the lines of Palestinians on foot or in taxis was like a view of the silent, depressed pass-office queues of South Africa’s past. A journey from one West Bank town to another that could take 20 minutes by car now takes seven hours for Palestinians, with manifold indignities at the hands of teenage soldiers.

My friend, peace activist Terry Boullata, has virtually given up her teaching job. The monstrous apartheid wall cuts off her East Jerusalem house from her school, which was once across the road, and now takes an hour’s journey. Yet she is better off than the farmers of Qalqilya, whose once prosperous agricultural town is totally surrounded by the wall and economically wasted. There is only one gated entry point. The key is with the occupation soldiers. Often they are not even there to let anyone in or out.

Bethlehem too is totally enclosed by the wall, with two gated entry points. The Israelis have added insult to injury by plastering the entrances with giant scenic posters welcoming tourists to Christ’s birthplace. The “security barrier”, as the Israeli’s term it, is designed to crush the human spirit as much as to enclose the Palestinians in ghettoes. Like a reptile, it transforms its shape and cuts across agricultural lands as a steel-and-wire barrier, with watchtowers, ditches, patrol roads and alarm systems. It will be 700km long and, at a height of 8m to 9m in places, dwarfs the Berlin Wall.

The purpose of the barrier becomes clearest in open country. Its route cuts huge swathes into the West Bank to incorporate into Israel the illegal Jewish settlements – some of which are huge towns – and annexes more and more Palestinian territory. The Israelis claim the purpose of the wall is purely to keep out terrorists. If that were the case, the Palestinians argue, why has it not been built along the 1967 Green Line border? One can only agree with the observation of Minister in the Presidency Essop Pahad, who has stated: “It has become abundantly clear that the wall and checkpoints are principally aimed at advancing the safety, convenience and comfort of settlers.”

The West Bank, once 22% of historic Palestine, has shrunk to perhaps 10% to 12% of living space for its inhabitants, and is split into several fragments, including the fertile Jordan Valley, which is a security preserve for Jewish settlers and the Israeli Defence Force. Like the Gaza Strip, the West Bank is effectively a hermetically sealed prison. It is shocking to discover that certain roads are barred to Palestinians and reserved for Jewish settlers. I try in vain to recall anything quite as obscene in apartheid South Africa.

Gaza provides a desolate landscape of poverty, grime and bombed-out structures. Incon- gruously, we are able to host South Africa’s Freedom Day reception in a restaurant overlooking the splendid harbour and beach. Gunfire rattles up and down the street, briefly interrupting our proceedings, as some militia or other celebrates news of the recovery from hospital of a wounded comrade. Idle fishing boats bob in long lines in the harbour, for times are bad. They are confined by Israel to 3km of the coast and fishing is consequently unproductive. Yet, somehow, the guests are provided with a good feast in best Palestinian tradition.

We are leaving through Tel Aviv airport and the Israeli official catches my accent. “Are you South African?’ he asks in an unmistakable Gauteng accent. The young man left Benoni as a child in 1985. “How’s Israel?” I ask. “This is a f**ked-up place,” he laughs, “I’m leaving for Australia soon.” “Down under?” I think. I’ve just been, like Alice, down under into a surreal world that is infinitely worse than apartheid.

Within a few hours I am in Northern Ireland, a guest at the swearing in of the Stormont power-sharing government of Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness. Not even PW Botha or Ariel Sharon were once as extreme as Ian Paisley in his most riotous and bigoted days. Ireland was under England’s boot for 800 years, South Africa’s colonial-apartheid order lasted 350 years.

The Zionist colonial-settler project stems from the 1880s. The Israeli ruling class, corrupt and with no vision, can no longer rule in the old way. The Palestinians are not prepared to be suppressed any longer. What is needed is Palestinian unity behind their democratically elected national government, reinforced by popular struggles of Palestinians and progressive Israelis, supported by international solidarity.

South Africa’s stated position is clear. The immediate demands are recognition of the government of national unity, the lifting of economic sanctions and blockade of the Palestinian territories, an end to the 40-year-old military occupation and resumption of negotiations for a two-state solution. On a final note, the invitation to Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh as head of a national unity government was welcomed by President Mahmoud Abbas, and will be dealt with by our government. As they say in Arabic: “Insha ’Allah [God-willing].”

INTERVIEWING THE PRESIDENT

By: Thomas Cooper

Reporters are racing to interview the President of the United States, Barack Obama. To get a chance to do that, they ask for a permission in advance, and often have to submit the list of question they intend to ask the president and get approved to ask those questions, after all they are requesting to interview the “supposedly” the most powerful man in the world. The president will have the answers prepared and memorized before the camera is turned on.

I am not a famous reporter. In fact, I am not a reporter at all, but I would love to get an opportunity to sit across from Mr. Obama and ask him a few questions that I am aching to get the answers to. I would ask him the following hypothetical questions to which I expect to get the following hypothetical answers.

Q1: Assuming that you have just drank a big bottle of the “truth serum”, and assuming that this interview will never leave this room, would you promise to answer each question honestly and truthfully? In other words, what comes out of your lips is exactly what’s in your head?

A1: Yes, of course.

Q2: Great, what do you think of your performance as a president so far. And what grade would you give yourself on this performance? And why?

A2: I think I am doing a much better job than my predecessor. That’s not a big pat on the back because a monkey could do a better job than him. I would love to be able to have a free hand to do what’s right without having to worry about others’ influence and pressure. As for grading my performance, I would give myself a 70%, because I couldn’t  do many of the things that I really want to do before leaving the white house, many of which were among my campaign promises.

Q3: What is the “others influence”? And what kind of pressure are you under?

A3: You have no idea. Our system is messed up. The people who have all the power and influence in this country are not the people in congress or even the president, they are the lobbyists of big corporations and even other countries around the world. When I ran for this office, I wanted to do away with those damn lobbyists but they have so much power that I felt powerless standing up to them.

Q4: What country has the most powerful lobbyists and is most influential when it comes to foreign policy?

A4: Undoubtedly, the Israeli lobbyists have the biggest influence on our foreign policy. They literally dictate to us what we should and should not do when it comes to dealing with other countries, especially in the Middle East. When I was elected President, I wanted, very badly, to establish peace and tranquility between the Palestinians and the Israelis but so far I have failed miserably.

Q5:  What do you attribute your failure to?

A5: You can’t enforce peace on people who don’t want it especially if they control you. It’s not in the Israelis’ best interest to have peace, that’s why they keep sabotaging every effort I, or any American president for that matter, come up with, and those damn lobbyists, headed by AIPAC, which I call the most dangerous organization in the country, make sure that we cater to the Israeli agenda and fulfill their every demand.

Q6: Can you give me some examples on the Israelis sabotaging your efforts to establish peace in the Middle East?

A6: I can give you plenty of examples. When I sent John Kerry to meet with the Palestinians and Israelis, they verbally attacked him and called him “Anti Semitic”, which’s a phrase they often use to attack someone who criticizes them in any way. Netanyahu recently annexed (another word for robbing at gun point) a large piece of land in the Jerusalem area to build an Israeli settlement. Does that look like a man who wants peace?

Q7: Speaking of Netanyahu, what do honestly think of him?

A7: This man, if you can call him that, is the worst human being on earth. No one described him better than one of my staff members, who shall remain nameless, when he called him “chicken shit”. This scum bag launched a war or rather a massacre against the people of Gaza, in the name of protecting Israel, killing 2,200 innocent people and destroyed countless number of buildings just for the hell of it. I ask you again, does that look like a man who wants peace? You know what’s the worst part? I had to announce my support for the Israelis, on camera, and defend their decision to attack Gaza, blaming those rockets that have been fired at Israel.

Q8: Don’t you think those rockets were the real reason for this war, or as you called it, massacre?

A8: You and I and every intelligent person know that Israel was not attacked when Netanyahu decided to use our planes, missiles, and tanks to do his dirty work. He just wanted to kill more Palestinians and destroy their homes. If the Israelis wanted to respond to the rocket attack, as they claim, they can pin point their locations and surgically take them out without destroying the building that are heavily populated with people. To show their malicious intent, they even bombed a UN shelter housing a large amount of food supplies for the starving people of Gaza. That makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it.

Q9: Mr. President, you are the most powerful man in the world, can’t you force what’s right on all parties in the Middle East?

A9: Are you kidding? The Israeli Lobbyists and supports of Israel will have my head on a gold platter. Calling me anti Semitic and calling for my impeachment will be the least they will do to me. I can’t force them to be humans if they are nothing but a bunch of beasts, they won’t listen anyway, and I just can’t make them.

Q10: What do you think of the rapidly growing anti-Israel and anti-Semitic movement?

A10: Thank God, people around the world, especially in the United States, are finally waking up. The American people are not dumb but we’ve been brain washed and lied to by the establishment into believing that the Israelis are the victims and we should support them, when in reality they are killing innocent people, steeling their resources, destroying their homes and confiscating at gun point their land.

Me: Thank you very much Mr. President. This interview was an eye opener. Your answers were candid, honest and to the point.

The President: you’re most welcomed. Remember, you said this interview will never leave this room. That’s why I agreed to give you honest answers.

Me: No Mr. President. I said: assuming that this interview will never leave this room.

The President: If you publish this interview, I will deny ever saying anything to you or ever meeting you.

Me: Thanks again Mr. President.

PALESTINIANS SHOULD THANK NETANYAHU

By: Toby Schill

The conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis seem to be never ending. The Palestinians are fighting for survival and for their land and homes, while the Israelis are fighting to confiscate  more of that land and kill more Palestinians. Every American President in recent history claims that he will be the one to finally establish peace in the Middle East that is amicable and satisfactory to both parties, but every one of them seems to fall flat on his face when tackling this subject, and fails just as miserably as his predecessor. Why?? Because Israel simply does not want peace. Yes, that’s right; Israel does not want peace. This was discussed in another article in this blog.

In 1993, the prime minister of Israel, Yitzhak Rabin, the fifth prime minister of Israel, decided it’s time to have peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis, so he met with the PLO leader, Yasser Arafat and the two leaders signed the Oslo Accords, which is based on several meetings and discussions between the two leaders. Rabin and Arafat actually won the Noble Price for peace. Rabin was the only Israeli that Arafat referred to as “my friend”. What happen to Rabin after signing that accord? He was murdered by his own people.

No prime minister in Israel, before or after Rabin seemed to be interested in peace with the Palestinians despite their claim that they were. In fact some of them like Ariel Sharon and Ehud Olmert waged wars (actually massacres) against the Palestinians in Gaza, killing 100’s of them and destroying several buildings for no reason. They claim that Hamas fired rockets on Israel and they had to retaliate when all the evidence point the fingers at them starting the firing.

Not to be out done by his predecessors, Benjamin Netanyahu, the current prime minister of Israel, decided to go on a killing and destruction spree in Gaza, in August 2014. After 2 months of shooting, bombing and firing missiles at the people of Gaza, he killed 2,200 people and destroyed several buildings of all types, office buildings, apartments and houses. Many of those buildings were destroyed while people were still inside. It’s laughable how the Israeli government tried to show its humanitarian side. They told the world that when they bombed an apartment building, they fired a warning shot, missile, first to allow the people to leave the building before they level it, which’s true and they have videos to prove it. The problem is, the warning shot came only one or two minutes before the one that destroys the building, which means unless you are waiting for the warning shot and ready to leave, you have no chance of making it alive out of that building. If you were asleep, they want to wake you up before they kill you, or if you were in the bathroom, you will have enough time to get up, without wiping and put your cloths on but forget about surviving. By the way the Israeli casualties were a grand total of 3, other than the 64 soldiers killed by the people of Gaza when they (the Israelis) entered the strip.

Netanyahu showed his ugly side again and again. Some of the atrocities he committed were, confiscating the tax money from the Palestinians. This is the money that the Israeli government imposed on the Palestinians to pay, giving the Palestinians a part of it back to live on. He also ordered the power to be turned off at a whole city for several days in the West Bank. In Gaza, not only he tightened the noose of the siege, but he also disallowed medical supplies and food to enter the strip. In the Jerusalem area, he robbed the Palestinians of over 1000 acres, which he annexed to Israel, leaving people with no homes to go to. Not only that but he expanded the settlements over more Palestinian land. What did our government do while this mad man was committing one crime after another? Absolutely nothing. I’ll take that back, we supported him and sent him more weapons to kill more innocent people and destroy more of their homes.

Evil as he is, he unknowingly did something good for the Palestinians. He opened the eyes and the ears of the world to these atrocities that Israel is committing against the Palestinians on daily basis. People in Europe and Asia have long suspected that Israel is illegally committing crimes against the Palestinians, from confiscating their land, to destroying their homes to killing their people, and now Netanyahu is confirming to them their suspicion. Currently, there’s a huge anti-Israel and anti-Semitic movements in Europe and other parts of the world. Even in the United States, people are waking up and shaking their heads to all that happens in the Middle East. It was reported that college students on campuses across the country are calling for boycotting the Israeli products, and protesting the Israeli treatments of the Palestinians.

Netanyahu is nothing but a thug, and the people of Israel who elected him are no better than him. More and more people in the US and around the world are realizing that. Netanyahu is a war criminal, and along with George Bush and Dick Chaney, he should be tried and executed for all these innocent lives he cut short for no reason.

Netanyahu brought awareness of the war crimes that he and his thugs are committing in Palestine. He caused the anti- Israel, anti- Semitic movement to grow and get stronger. He also caused other countries to boycott the Israeli products in protest to their uncalled for harsh treatment of the Palestinians.

Netanyshu did more disservice to Israel than any Arabic leader could.

For all this and more, the Palestinians should thank him.

ISIS AND ISRAEL

In the year 2000, George W. Bush was elected as President of United States. Shortly after that, he and his vise president Dick Chaney with the help of their Secretary of Defense, Ronald Rumsfeld, began plotting for the invasion of Iraq. They started their scheme by telling a series of lies to the American Public in attempt to lessen the people’s opposition to the war that they were about to plunge the country into, which ultimately cost us billions upon billions of dollars, and thousands upon thousands of young American lives that were needlessly lost, not to mention the much larger numbers of wounded, physically and psychologically.

Among the lies that we were told by the evil trio (Chaney, Bush & Rumsfeld) is that Saddam Hussein, the president of Iraq at that time, has a stock pile of chemical weapons that he intends to use against his enemies, mainly Israel and US. Remember the Secretary of State Collin Powel in the United Nations, showing the whole world a bunch of fabricated pictures of the chemical weapons’ locations in Iraq? After the invasion, the US forces turned the country upside down trying to find those chemical weapons but found absolutely nothing, not a shred of evidence to substantiate their claim. Collin Powel claimed that he was misled and resigned at the end of Bush’s first term. The CIA claimed that they were given the wrong information. They think that the American people are stupid enough to believe them. Sadly enough, some of us did, mainly the Republicans.

Another huge lie that we, the American people, were told is that Saddam Hussein was bringing Al-Qaida to Iraq. Such statement couldn’t be further from the truth. Hussein hated Al-Qaida with a passion and would have crushed them had they tried to enter his country. The truth is that Al-Qaida entered Iraq and became a force to be recon with only after the American invasion of that country.

George Bush and his gang decided, in their infinite wisdom, to alienate the Sunnis in Iraq in favor of the Shies, which made the Sunnis resent the Iraqi government and thus forming a radical, ruthless group known as ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria). This organization became very powerful that everyone in the region and abroad, with one exception, feared and wanted to annihilate them for all the crimes and atrocities they committed in the name of Islam, against the Iraqis, the Syrians and the Westerners, especially Americans. They call themselves Muslims but no one could be further from Islam. Howard Dean, the former chairman of the Democratic Party and former presidential candidate, put it best when he said; those people are no more Muslims than I am. They would go looking for Americans and kill them by beheading. The victims are often innocent who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Everyone in the Arabic and Western Worlds is condemning the criminal actions of ISIS and trying to fight them tooth and nail except one country that seems to strike a friendship with these thugs. That country is Israel. Though it was never publicly announced, and never will be, ISIS and Israel seem to be in agreement with each other and helping one another. Before you think I am crazy for saying that, consider these undeniable facts:

  • With all the threats that ISIS had made against many leaders and countries, they have never threatened Israel or Netanyahu.
  • When ISIS was fighting the Syrian army, Israeli war planes bombed targets belonging to the Syrian Army in an effort to help their friends.
  • The Israeli army would not allow anyone from any country for any reason to enter the demilitarized zone in the Golan Heights except the ISIS fighters.
  • When the fighters of ISIS are injured, they are treated in Israeli hospitals.
  • Israel has never condemned the actions of ISIS although everyone else did.

These and many other facts would make you wonder about the strong ties between ISIS and Israel. People in the Middle East are very well familiar with the reality in Iraq, but we, in the United States are as ignorant as people on the moon. All we hear on the news is that ISIS is bad and they are killing Americans, but if we dig a little deeper in the matter, we will discover the truth about Israel and their new found friend. Both Israel and ISIS have no friends in the Middle East, now they found each other and became each other’s allies.

ISRAELI HEROES

By: Hank Hardy

A hero is someone who does something heroic. Here are some examples of heroic actions:

  • Someone who enters a burning building to save a child, an elderly or just about anyone else, sacrificing his own life and safety to save others.
  • A person who runs across the railroad track to push someone out of the path of an oncoming train.
  • In war, a soldier who goes behind the enemy line to blow up a bridge or a barrack or shoots enemy soldiers knowing that he could be killed any moment.

There are so many examples of heroism but let’s focus on the last one “the war heroes”.

In the recent Israeli bombing of Gaza, I was looking for people to call heroes on both sides. On the Israeli side I see wave after wave of war planes dropping bombs and firing missiles on the civilians below killing 1000’s of them indiscriminately. Men, women, children… makes no difference. If they are Palestinians, it’s OK to kill them. The war planes accomplished another objective which is destroying many homes, schools, hospitals and just about any buildings. After the war planes killed and destroyed their targets, the ground troops consisting of heavy tanks and artillery, not to mention thousands of soldiers, moved in, doing the dirty work on the ground as the planes did from the sky. Where’s the heroism in that. This action can best be described as cowardly!! The Israeli soldiers are nothing but a group of thugs and criminals.

On the other side, the Palestinians, having no war planes, no tanks, no regular army or heavy weapons, were trying very hard to just stay alive. Their weapons consist of guns and home-made rockets. They defended their territory with their lives and managed to kill many Israeli soldiers. Those Palestinians are true heroes because they sacrificed their lives to defend their land from the intruders.

The Israelis shamelessly claimed that they won the war!! Dahh. It’s like arranging a boxing match between Mike Tyson and a 10 year old kid, and Iron Mike brags to everyone that he won the fight.

Aren’t there any Israeli heroes? Yes there are. In the recent so called “war” in Gaza, which I call a senseless massacre, a number of Israeli soldiers refused to serve in the army and be sent to kill in Gaza, those are real heroes. A number of Israelis and Jews who have conscious and high moral value criticized Netanyahu and his group of thugs for committing all these atrocities and murders in Gaza. Those are real heroes. People like Meko Peled, Jeff Halper, Ann Baltzer and many other Israelis and Jews who stood up to the Israeli government and decided to speak out against the murders and destructions in Palestine are true heroes.

THE MASACRE IN GAZA

By: Hank Hardy

The Israeli’s repeatedly said, we cannot negotiate with the Palestinians because they form two separate and independent entities; The Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, and Hamas in Gaza. Neither of these groups represents the other, and neither can negotiate on behalf of the other. On June 2nd, 2014, the two factions of the Palestinian people decided, after long discussions and meetings, to unite and form one government that represents all the Palestinian people.

When heard the news, Benjamin Netanyahu went crazy and verbally attacked the unity very harshly, criticizing the involvement of Hamas. He set out to destroy the organization regardless of the cost in human lives and property to the people of Gaza. He was looking for a reason to attack Hamas and kill as many of the Palestinian people as he can.

On June 12, 2014, three Israeli boys were kidnapped and killed by an unknown person or persons. Until now it’s not known for certain who the responsible party is, but Benjamin Netanyahu found it to be his best opportunity to accuse Hamas of the kidnapping so he can kill more Palestinians and destroy more properties that belong to the poor people of Gaza. Many have suspected that the Israelis have kidnapped and killed the three boys so that they can accuse the Palestinians of this crime and go on another killing and destruction rampage.

There was a damning evidence that the Israelis have known about the killing of the boys for several days but decided to keep the news under rap until they conclude their criminal act against the people of Gaza. How did they know?? When one of the boys called his mother from his cell phone, the mother heard several shots and then the line went dead. She reported that to the Israeli authority. Also, as evidence of framing Hamas, the kidnappers made it a point for the mother to hear Arabic music in the back ground. If the boys were killed out in the open, who would carry a radio and turn it up so loud in order for the mother of that boy to hear it over the phone? Anyway, the settlers went crazy and grabbed the first Palestinian boy they found and forced him to drink gasoline and set him on fire.

Netanyahu is the world’s biggest coward and certainly the most ruthless criminal. He sits in his office in Jerusalem or in the United States and orders the killing of people in Gaza and the destruction of their buildings claiming that he is defending Israel. If there is justice in the world, he should be tried as war criminal, but we all know that there is no justice anywhere especially in our country when it comes to holding the Israelis accountable for their heinous crimes. Netanyahu is following in the footsteps of a previous, and equally cowardly and ruthless criminal named Areal Sharon who died in the worst way. He was in a vegetated state for 8 years before leaving this world. Maybe it’s God’s way of punishing this piece of trash on earth, and may Netanyahu die the same way and soon.

Some people mistakenly call it “the war between Gaza and Israel”. A war is a fight between two armies. This is not a war, this is a massacre. One side has the best equipped and trained army with a huge number of tanks, bombs, missiles and airplanes, and the other side has none of that. There are some people in Gaza who have guns and some home-made rockets that are very ineffective unless they directly hit an object or a person. The “brave” Israeli Soldiers marched in their tanks and armored vehicle inside Gaza and killed everyone they found in their way regardless of his age or gender, 2,200 Palestinian people have died needlessly. A large number of buildings were destroyed whether they were homes for the civilians or commercial building. The Israeli soldiers found the courage to go into Gaza after the “brave” pilots destroyed everything from the air. They called those buildings targets, and often destroyed them with people still in them. The Israelis claim that they warn the people to leave, giving them 2 minutes before they get bombed. How could a house or an apartment building be a military target? The Israeli Navy is no less “brave”!! They found 4 boys from Gaza playing on the beach and decided to kill them. The 10-12 year old kids were such a big threat to Israel, weren’t they? When it comes to killing civilians and destroying their homes and businesses, the Israeli soldiers are the best at their job.

Here’s an example of “the military targets” that the Israeli soldiers are proud to destroy.

Two more so called “military targets”, a block of residential buildings

The above pictures are what the Israelis love to see and proud to accomplish.

That’s what they call self defense. BUT:

What about the rockets?

Gaza was surrounded by the Israeli army from land and sea and constantly watched from the air. Every so often, the Israeli army in all its divisions goes on a killing and destruction spree, so the people of Gaza decided to build short ranged rockets to answer the Israelis when they go crazy and decide to kill more Palestinians and destroy their properties. Those rockets are locally made and are very ineffective unless they directly hit an object or a person. If you watch the news on regular bases, Hamas has never used those rockets unless they were provoked by the Israelis.

How are Hamas provoked?

Let me simplify the answer by this scenario. Imagine, just for a few seconds, that you are a small boy, minding your own business and playing with a small pocket knife. Suddenly, a huge man with a long sward comes to fight you. You ignore him for a while, and then he pokes you with his sword again and again until you get angry and take a swing at him with your small pocket knife. The huge man gets outraged and tells the whole world that you are trying to kill him with your knife, and he will be justified to defend himself and starts stabbing you and cutting you with his sword.

Here’s an example of how the Israelis provoke Hamas and almost force them to fire their rockets at them out of anger and frustration. Once a Palestinian retired leader, on a wheel chair was killed by a missile from an Israeli plane. Hamas members were very angry at this cowardly act and launched some rockets into Israel, after which the Israeli planes, tanks and ships attacked Gaza and killed 100’s of people and destroyed a large number of homes.

One other and very similar confrontation started when one of Hamas leaders was killed while sleeping in his apartment which was one in a several story apartment building. He was killed when the whole building was destroyed by a bomb from an Israeli plane killing everyone inside the building. If the Israelis cannot find an excuse to kill Palestinians and destroy their homes, they will create one. AND

What about those tunnels?

Gaza has been under siege for many years. The Israeli army and Navy are surrounding the strip from all sides. They stopped any and all shipments of food, medicine and everything else to reach the people of Gaza. They are literally trying to starve them to death and kill them from infection and disease. The people of Gaza thought that since they cannot travel on the ground or over the ground, then the only way to reach the outside and get what they need to survive is to go underground. They dug those tunnels to bring food, medicine and other necessary materials for their people. The Egyptian government was pressured to stop Gaza’s people from entering their country through the tunnels or across the border. When attacked savagely by the Israeli army during the month of August, Hamas decided to use some of those tunnels to attack back.

The Israeli policy toward the Palestinians is simple, and can be summarized in 3 steps:

  • Rob the Palestinians of their land at gun point and kill them if they resist. In this country, we call that “armed robbery”.
  • Give the people who decide to stay a choice; submit, leave or die.
  • Kill the ones who do not submit or leave.

President Obama said. No country should tolerate rockets being fired at them. Well Mr. President, how do you justify a nation being surrounded from all sides for several years by hustle forces that allows no food, no medicine, nothing to enter their territory. An act that you and your government support. Should any nation in the whole world tolerate that?? Where does our hypocrisy stop? There seems to be no limit to it!!

One of the Israelis who was born and raised in Jerusalem named Miko Peled wrote a book titled “The General’s Son”. This smart and courageous man decided to speak his mind and do what’s right. He exposed the scheme of the Israeli government and the false claims that they led people to believe. We highly recommend reading this book. Here’s a link to one of his lectures. You will also see a dynamic speaker by the name of Ranya Masri who puts things in perspective.

http://www.veteransnewsnow.com/2014/08/30/509617-miko-peled-zionism-must-go-free-palestine-end-the-occupation/

I can’t help but wonder, what happens if the fighters from Gaza were given the same amount and type of weapons that the Israeli army has, and let them fight against the Israelis. Should that happens, the question would not be who will win the fight but how fast and far the Israelis would run.

WAKE UP AMERICA

By: Hank Hardy

A nick name for the United States of America is “The Melting Pot” because, with the exception of the Native Indians, everyone in this country either came from another country or his ancestors did. People came to the United States seeking a better life for themselves and their families and they found it here, that’s why this country is also nicknamed “The Land of Opportunity”.

With the new opportunities and new found freedom, most people consciously or
unconsciously, decided to forget about the rest of the world, adapting the mentality “if it doesn’t happen to me or around me, it doesn’t affect me”.

Unfortunately, with the new and better life comes complacency and ignorance. Just like a rich kid who says, I don’t need to go to college and waste money and time on education because my daddy is filthy rich and I can get all the money I need. It’s also unfortunate that we, the American people, can be easily manipulated and brainwashed. Most of us believe what we see and hear on TV and radio, or read in the newspapers or on the internet. It’s a golden opportunity for the evil doers to get their way and make us think that what they’re telling us is the truth even if it’s not, and their action is the right thing to do even if it’s the most despicable and underhanded thing they’ve ever done. Those people would lie to us time and time again and we still believe them, they prey on our gullibility and often win. Remember George Bush and Dick Chaney and all the lies they told us about Iraq and Saddam Hussein to justify invading that country?

That’s what happened in Palestine and Israel. The Israeli government and their allies in the United States, not only control our government, but they have a choke hold on every one of the congress members, whether they are Republicans or Democrats, in the Senate or the House of Representatives. How do they do that? They do it by bribery, intimidation and attack.

Please understand that we are not attacking the Jewish people, we’re merely explaining how the Israelis and their supporters in United States are manipulating us, the American people, and how they are lying to us and a large number of us still believe them. They are managing to control our hearts and minds and consequently our money and resources. Here’s how they do it:

They set out to control all sensitive and influential areas in our lives, mainly:

GOVERNMENT: In the presidential and congressional elections, there’s always a candidate who’s a big supporter of Israel. The pro- Israel groups, headed by AIPAC (The American Israeli Public Affairs Committee), which I call the most dangerous organization in the country, donate huge sums of money to his campaign and promote him in every possible way. Sometimes he wins but often he does not. If he wins, they count on him to be their “yes man” in congress and vote as they dictate to him. Those candidates usually have no principles and no integrity. They are rather followers than leaders. But if he loses, they drop him like a hot potato.

The winning candidate is often showered with money and gifts to lure him to their side if he’s not already. If that tactic works, they’re happy, however; if he happened to be among the small minority who speaks his mind and does not yield under pressure then the third method is used on him which is the threat and intimidation. He would be threatened and promised with failure in the next election until he gives up and crosses over to their side. The best example to this fact is the last two presidential elections. Remember John McCain and Mit Romney? Both were puppets in the hands of the pro- Israel group. Both lost to Obama, not because they were lacking money or advertisements but rather for lack of honesty and integrity. Obama had the intellect, the charisma and the smarts that helped him win the hearts and minds of the American public and consequently, the election. The tremendous pleasure from those groups that he was under caused him to cater to their every need and demand. He felt that he had no choice but to back off and let them control the entire government, like they’ve always done, while he sat on the side line. One of his campaign promises, peace in the Middle East, was swept under the rug, because Israel simply does not want peace. There’s a lot of proof out there.

NEWS MEDIA: News reporters are bound by the code of ethics. They are to report the news and never take sides in any circumstances, however, when it comes to Israel and the Middle East, they seem to forget the truth and the ethics that they are suppose to uphold. All the news reported on TV, Radio and Newspapers is one sided. Guess who’s side they take? Israel’s side of course. They are not to express their personal opinion unless it’s to the benefit of Israel.

SHOW BUSINESS: Hollywood is infested with pro- Israel supporters who control every aspect of show business. Their influence is frightening and should be stopped or limited. A large numbers of movies were made to reflect their point of view, but when the British actress Vanessa Redgrave financed and promoted a movie about the Palestinians, she was booed, insulted and called every name in the book, even by her own sister.

The unwritten rule: In the United States, there is a rule that everyone who has a position in the government, news media, show business or any other field of influence has to abide by. This rule implies that if you have something to say to promote the Israeli agenda, you are free to announce it to the world, but if you have something to say that condemn Israel for some or all the criminal acts they’ve done, keep your mouth shut. If you don’t, you will be called anti-Semitic and prejudice among other unflattering descriptive adjectives. Remember the former President Jimmy Carter? While he was in office, the Israeli army went on a killing and destruction spree in the West Bank. The United Nations Security Council condemned Israel and all its members voted for the decision. United States normally vetoes such a decision, but the American representative was instructed to abstain. Jimmy Carter was heavily criticized and forced to apologize for not vetoing the Security Council’s decision.

There is no subject under the sun that everyone in government agrees on except Israel. When Israel wants money, weapons, support in the UN or anything else, everyone in the government, without exception, become a hypnotized zombie and votes yes, even if his heart and mind tell him otherwise. Everyone is scared to death to be called Anti-Semitic, or, heaven forbids, get the pro-Israel group angry at him. It’s been said that everyone in the Senate and House of Representatives starts planning strategies to win the next election as soon as he is announced the winner in the present election. He will be jeopardizing his future in the congress if he speaks his mind and decide to be ethical. The thought of losing the next election scares the day light out of him.

Where is it Mr. Obama? I am looking everywhere for it, but cannot find it anywhere. I am looking for your back-bone and that of the members of the congress. It seems that no one these days has a back-bone to stand up to Netanyahu and say, enough is enough. Stop the massacre in Gaza. Stop the destruction of the people’s homes and buildings. Mr. President, you have the courage to stand up to Russia and Putin but pretend that you are in a different world when it comes to Israel. They have no regards for you what so ever, they even don’t bother asking for your approval to get more weapons, they just go directly to the Pentagon and submit their shopping list. You need to wake up first then help other people do the same. So far you’ve been a disappointment. You are letting the Israelis and the Republicans walk all over you and you’re still trying to please them. Don’t be another George Bush, the country’s worst president ever. You have no more elections to worry about losing. What are you afraid of? History will judge you for your actions. Make them count in the good column not the bad.

In an interview with George W. Bush, just before leaving office, he said “I leave with my head held high”. Wrong again Mr. George. I think you and your buddy tricky Dickey, should have your heads tucked between your legs for all the shame you brought upon this country, for all the loss of lives and limbs you inflicted on our soldiers, for all the money you spent on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that could’ve and should’ve been used locally, for all the loss of lives and destruction of properties you unnecessarily inflicted on the Iraqis, for all the lies you told us to justify invading that country. All that evil doing, just to protect the Israelis. I think all living presidents for the past 50 years should walk around with paper bags over their heads for all the shame they brought onto our country.

We annually hand Israel on a gold platter everything they ask for, from billions of dollars of cash to more billions of dollars of arms and weapons to technology also worth billions of dollars to…. to…..etc. what we get in return is a net of spiest Israel hires to steel our secrets and technology and send them to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Remember Jonathan Pollard? He is one of the spies that were caught and now serving a jail sentence for spying for Israel. Israeli officials are working diligently behind the scenes to free him. It seems that our government might finally cave in and free him. Some radicals like Alan Dershowitz, the Harvard Law Professor, try to soften the blow and say, at least he is spying for a friendly country. It’s like if you get stabbed in the back by your best friend and your friend’s father says at least he was stabbed by a friend. Does that stab hurt less? I don’t think so. On the contrary, it hurts much more because it came from someone you trusted and helped a great deal.

We, the American people are like the sleeping giant, who has a lot of power but does not use it because, you guessed it, he’s always sleeping.  We need to WAKE UP, before it’s too late, and realize the danger that is lingering around us which one day will destroy us.

PRESIDENT OBAMA, IN MY OPINION

By:  Toby Schill

In 2008 Barak Obama was elected as the 45th president of the United States of America. The two republican candidates who ran against him in 2008 and 2012, John McCain and Mitt Romney, did not have a chance and were crushed at the election. Most people had high hopes for the future of this country when they elected Obama.

Unlike his predecessor, Obama is a very smart, highly educated and above all has good common sense, integrity and decency. He hit the ground running, getting more done in 3 months than George W. in 8 years, with the exception of the two wars he, needlessly, plunged our country in, if you call that work. It’s actually what I call “negative work” or bad work. More on that in another article.

Mr. Obama was decisive in saving General Motor, and AIG Insurance Co., and others. He basically saved the economy in this country from a total collapse that was eminent had George Bush stayed for one more year. Much to the Republicans’ dismay, he was doing great and his popularity was on the rise. Instead of helping him move this country forward, they tried and succeeded to a certain extent, to put every obstacle in his way so he will fail in his mission. They were vocal and open about their evil scheme, and didn’t care if the whole country knows about it. They publicly announced, shortly after Obama’s winning the 2008 election, that their only mission is, not to save this country’s economy or cooperate with the newly elected president, but to make Mr. Barak Obama a one-term president. Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show, I hope Obama fails.

To achieve their objective and accomplish their goal, they opposed this president in everything he does, and ridiculed every idea he comes up with, even if it’s one of their own. They have managed to slow down the recovery of the economy to a degree that got some people frustrated and angry. Unfortunately, some people look only at the results with no consideration to the cause of those results. Imagine if you were going to work one day and had a flat tire on the way. You stop on the side of the road, change the tire and proceed to your work place. When you arrive, your boss yells at you for being late, and when you tell him that you had a flat tire, he says, I don’t care, you’re late.

In 2010, we’ve had the “mid-term election”. The economy was improving, but not as fast as some people wanted. It’s a problem!! What to do? What to do? I Know, I know. Let’s bring back the people who put us in this big mess back, because the people who are leading us to the recovery are not moving fast enough. This is what I call “the moronic solution”. The Republicans managed to win the majority of the House of Representatives’ seats, making the job of the president even more difficult.

The president of the United States or any president of any country in the world has to work on two fronts simultaneously. The domestic front; meaning the economy and the country’s local issues. And the foreign front; simply dealing with other countries. Mr. Obama, like all his predecessors and all those that will follow, made many promises. He managed to accomplish many of the domestic goals, but thanks to the Republicans, he was forced to put on his turtle shoes instead of his rabbit shoes. However, when it comes to the foreign policy, he failed miserably. Only one of his promises was accomplished on his watch, which is ending the war in Iraq. On the surface, this sounds like a great step for both the US and Iraq, but if you think about it, it was a disaster for both. The abrupt withdrawal of the American troops from Iraq caused more ciaos in the country causing the killing of a large number of people. That was bad for Iraq but why was it bad for the US. Here’s why:

The number one enemy to the United States is not Iran or Russia, its Al-Qaida. During Sadam Hessian’s regime, Al-Qaida was non-existent in Iraq, because Sadam hated them and prevented them, not only from forming a group in Iraq but even entering the country. George Bush and his boss Dick Cheney along with their hit man Donald Rumsfeld falsified the record and lied to the whole world about Sadam Hussein harboring Al-Qaida and stock piling chemical weapons. They wanted to attack Iraq so badly that they stooped so low as to falsify the facts. During the war and afterwards, Al-Qaida members entered the country and fought against the US troops. The sudden withdrawal of the US army opened the door to Al-Qaida to flood Iraq. Thanks to Bush and Obama, it will be next to impossible to rid Iraq of them.

Recently, a militant group called “ISIS”, which’s a division of Al-Qaida, invaded and occupied a large part of Iraq, and killed thousands of innocent people. Obama said that he is not going to put “boots on the ground” but will weigh his other options. Of course he does not want people to think that he went back on his word of pulling the American troops from Iraq. If you would ask George Bush about what to do in Iraq, he would probably say, we went to Iraq to mess up the county, protect Israel and get the Oil from there. We succeeded in all that, now we should stay out of that country.

Among his unfulfilled promises, Mr. Obama announced that he will close Guantanamo bay. He is no closer to doing that than when he spoke those works. Also, he promised to work with Iran on a solution to their nuclear program and the sanctions against the country. Instead of working toward this goal, he bowed to the Israeli pressure and imposed more sanctions against Iran and treated them as an enemy. Instead of bringing them to his side, which’s the smart thing to do, he pushed them further away, just to please the Israelis. They wanted him to go one step further and attack Iran militarily, but he knew that he would be making the biggest mistake in his life, as a president, an American and as a human being, so he did not.

He also failed to come to an understanding with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, whom he treated with hostility instead of understanding. When Putin annexed the Crimea area, which’s what its people want, Obama went crazy, and when the Russian President sent troops to the Ukraine, Obama hit the wall. He, Obama, announced that he is going to impose sanctions on Russia which he did. That Putin fellow, just who does he think he is? Doesn’t he know that invading other countries with no consequences is reserved to us, the United States, and the occupying and killing of innocent people is reserved to the Israelis? The last time I checked, he was neither an American President nor an Israeli prime minister, so back off Putin!!

The absolute biggest failure of President Obama’s foreign policy is peace in the Middle East. When running for president prior to the 2008 election, he repeatedly announced that he will make peace in the Middle East. He knew, or should’ve known, that Israel does not want peace. If there is peace, what reason would they have to suck the life blood out of us, the Americans? When he tried to find a solution to Palestinian-Israeli problem he was stopped dead in his track by the Israelis. Their lobbyists and political organizations like APAC, which I consider the most dangerous organization in the country, pressured him to step aside when it comes to the Middle East. He bowed to them and did exactly what they wanted him to do instead of having a back-bone and standing up to them. After all, he is the president of the United States.

Over all, I would give Mr. Obama a 65% grade point average. In his defense, after succeeding the worst president in the history of this country, he did OK. Not great, just OK. He could’ve been much better and stronger, as the leader of West, but he tried very hard to please the Republicans and the Israelis. What we, in this country, should be bracing for is the next president. If we make a colossal mistake like the one we made in the year 2000 when we elected George Bush, we’re doomed.

My advice to the president is: Just be yourself and do what you think is right, and for heaven’s sake stop trying to kiss the rear end of the Republicans and Israelis. They will never like you. Your popularity now is at an all times low, watch it soar if you do what’s right and ignore those two groups.

Peace In The Middle East……Is It Possible??

By: Hank Hardy

Disclosure: I used to be a big supporter of Israel and their cause. After all, the church pastor, the President and the whole congress tell us to support Israel. I was blind to the truth until I decided to read Jimmy Carter’s bestselling book “Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid”, which was an eye opener. In his book, Mr. Carter advises everyone to visit Palestine and Israel in search for the truth, so I did. My whole perspective on the Middle East situation has turned upside down.

As we mentioned in one of our pages, we don’t shy away from a subject just because it’s controversial, in fact we welcome such subjects; the more controversial the better. Here’s one of the most talked about subjects Continue reading…
